Senior Broker

To our headquarter in Riga, we are looking for a financial instruments Broker. Successful candidates are expected to have experience within the financial or banking industry and have a strong knowledge of financial instruments – equities, bonds, derivatives, FX, etc.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with clients wishing to place orders for trades with financial instruments
  • Executing trades and providing advice to clients appropriately while observing any regulatory and risk obligations
  • Performing risk management duties, including dealing with margin calls
  • Handling customer enquiries
  • Provide clients with the best-in-class service via the phone, chat and/or email
  • Intelligently articulate financial and market-related concepts
  • Run multiple reports for the monitoring of positions
  • Analyse and investigate any trading problems
  • Monitor all incoming and outgoing trade traffic
  • Multi-task by monitoring multiple trading platforms
  • Monitor client open positions and trades with counterparties
  • Continuously take an active interest in learning financial markets
  • Investigate account management and trade–related issues involving execution, order routing, trade busts, position liquidation, etc.
  • Provide customer support and assistance in Latvian / English / Russian language
  • General client assistance with trade reporting and platform tools
  • Internal escalation of technical issues and trade execution queries
  • Communication of important announcements, trading holidays or contract expiry dates to clients
  • Build, manage and maintain relationships with counterparties, request services, products, new (sub) accounts and ensure that trading limits are setup in a timely/efficient manner
  • Ensure client requests are completed in a timely manner and without any errors and delays. All requests should be properly tracked and documented
  • Confirm trading account setup to be faultless by coordinating reconciliation with back office and front office to test out account mapping, account settings, and trade flow
  • Proactively identify any errors and take the necessary steps to resolve any issues
  • Quickly learn and stay current on all investment & trading products, services and platforms
  • Perform competitor analysis and present findings to management and employees
  • Act as a liaison between clients–sales–front office
  • Promote products and services to current and prospective clients
  • Assisting customers who wish to open trading account, funding and securities transfer assistance
  • Discuss with clients to identify their needs and introduce appropriate services and workflow solutions
  • Setting up new relationships and developing existing partnerships by providing proactive and highly qualified sales effort and expert advice
  • Maintaining contact with existing clients to ensure high levels of client satisfaction

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Prior experience of 3/5 years within financial or banking industry
  • University degree in Finance / Economics / Banking or related field
  • Excellent financial instruments, markets and products knowledge
  • Excellent knowledge of Latvian, English and Russian language, both spoken and written
  • Strong computer skills and electronic trading knowledge
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills (spoken and written)
  • Have mathematical literacy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
